The Rothschild Mahzor

In 1966, Baron Edmond de Rothschild presented to The Library of The Jewish Theological Seminary a massive, fifteenth-century illuminated Hebrew manuscript in an almost perfect state of preservation. This extraordinarily beautiful mahzor (prayer book used on the High Holidays)-commissioned by a wealthy Italian family-was written in Florence in 1490 by the scribe Abraham Judah of Camerino and illustrated by at least three different art workshops. The 477-folio volume includes the prayers and piyyutim (Hebrew liturgical poems) for the entire Jewish year, including festivals and special Sabbaths.

Each notecard, printed with soy-based inks on recycled paper, features beautiful reproduced page from the Rothschild Mahzor.

Notecards are blank inside allowing room for a New Year's or other greeting of your own.

20 notecards and envelopes with 5 each of 4 designs.

Cards printed with soy-based inks on recycled paper.
