By Ensemble Salomone Rossi
This CD exemplifies the connection between the Jewish community and the cultural Renaissance in Europe during the seventeenth century. The pieces featured reflect the Baroque musical style of the non-Jewish world while referencing Jewish life, ceremonies and traditions.
The Ensemble Salomone Rossi was founded in 1991 thanks to the initiative and under the leadership of Lydia Cevidalli. The Ensemble has performed several concerts in Italy and abroad. The Ensemble Salomone Rossi perform pieces arranged by five different composers on this album creating strong, operatic voices that any music lover will enjoy. |
